"All hope is in vain" my philosophy teacher once said. Not exactly the words you want to hear right before you start your oral exam, but so true for the past weekend. On friday I crossed my fingers and still hoped for some dry hours, but it went from drizzeling to pouring and back. Saturday was no better, and by Sunday all my photographers had left town again. No enjoying the fall foliage. No outfit photos. Instead, wthe boyfriend and I tried to make a lemon-merengue pie but failed big time. I find comfort in the knowing that Tamara has had the same problems with lemon pies. If anyone can help us with a good recipe, we'd be forever gratefull!
I'm still having a bit of a blog design slump. I spent my Sunday afternoon behind Photoshop, but still no luck. If it wouldn't have rained so darn much, I'm sure a breeze of fresh air could have been my cure. My camera is my best friend on days I feel down and don't want to see a lot of people. Sometimes I just want time for myself, and going out into nature to shoot random photos helps me relax. I must say though, that these particular photos were taken in the middle of Antwerp city on a very, very busy day.On a warm day in August, the boyfriend and I had lunch at Barnini, strolled around the weekly market and then sat down in the prairie garden next to the city theather. It was full of buzzing bees and rich colours and luckily, I had my zoomlens by hand. I snapped my heart away, feeling like a kid in a candy store.
These photos are extra saturated for a true colour explosion. They cheer me up a bit ^^
How were your weekends?
